State board and lower-tuition CBSE schools are dominant in older central neighbourhoods (Ameerpet, Punjagutta, Secunderabad) and outer growth (Kompally, Bachupally, Quthbullapur). These offer more affordable schooling but lower facilities and less competitive admissions.
Premium central legacy schools (Hyderabad Public School, Stanley Girls', Nasr Boys', Loyola) are in Banjara Hills / Begumpet and are among the most respected academic institutions in the city — but admission is highly competitive and largely depends on legacy / reservation criteria, not address.
